2020 Apple Harvest Festival is Cancelled

After much consideration, the organizing committee has reported the 56th Annual National Apple Harvest Festival, slated to be held October 3-4 and 10-11, 2020, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The statement from the committee said:

“As a festival built around all things apple, we strive to think about everyone involved when making decisions. Coming to this decision wasn’t easy.

As we explored options to hold the festival, it was clear that there was no path forward and the safety of our guests, vendors, volunteers, entertainers and everyone involved was our primary concern when making this decision. Moreover, hundreds of hours of preparation go into making the festival a success. Given the conditions this year, we would have experienced many unknowns up until the festival kicked off.

We understand that there may be questions from guests, vendors, volunteers, entertainers and everyone involved in the making of our festival. We’ve assembled a FAQ page on our website to answer questions. These questions will be updated regularly. Visit appleharvest.com/faq to view the answers to these questions.

The decision is tough for all of us and we want all of our guests to understand this decision was truly one made with heavy hearts, but with the best intentions in mind for everyone involved.

Festival volunteers will be focusing efforts on the 57th Annual National Apple Harvest Festival in 2021, to be held on October 2-3 & 9-10, 2021.

These are challenging times but with the support of our community, guests, vendors, volunteers, entertainers and everyone involved, we are confident in a strong comeback in 2021.”
