Public restrooms in the Racehorse Alley Parking Garage will reopen on Monday. Restrooms will be serviced once daily Monday through Friday and will be open to the public from 6 AM to 8 PM.

Outdoor dining will resume in the borough tomorrow for restaurants with outdoor dining permits. All indoor restaurant and bar areas must remain closed to customers except for through-traffic (using the restrooms).

Physical spacing in outdoor areas must be maintained with a guideline of 12 people per 1,000 square feet, six feet between tables, and enough space that pedestrians on a sidewalk can pass with at least six feet of distance.

Restaurants are expected to train employees on the importance of hand washing and the regular cleaning of entrance doors and bathroom surfaces,

Employees are expected to wear face masks in most cases.

Restaurants are asked to use technology solutions where possible to reduce person-to-person interaction, including mobile ordering.

Self-service food or drink options, such as buffets, salad bars, and condiments are not allowed.

Restaurants are encouraged to have a written COVID-19 prevention plan and to ask employees to self-measure their temperature and assess symptoms prior to every shift. Restaurants are also encouraged to use reservations so they can record contact information for all customers.

Borough parking enforcement has resumed and will continue with 7-day a week enforcement. Brick and mortar restaurants may retain their meter bag reservations until the borough moves into the green phase.

Gettysburg Connection will provide an update on the county’s reopening status tomorrow.
