Plans are in place for the second annual Bruce Hollabaugh 5K Memorial Run/Walk, scheduled for April 12, 2026, at Hollabaugh Bros., Inc., Biglerville.
The event will begin with opening ceremonies at 9 a.m. and continue until approximately 11 a.m. Participants will run or walk through the Hollabaugh family’s orchards as spring blossoms begin to emerge, offering a scenic setting for the memorial event.
Organizers said the 5K is being held to raise funds for the Bruce A. Hollabaugh Memorial Endowment Fund, which was established earlier this year by Bruce’s parents, Brad and Kay Hollabaugh. The fund is managed by the Adams County Community Foundation and is intended to support charities and community initiatives that were important to Bruce Hollabaugh during his life.
Net proceeds from the race will benefit the endowment fund, with organizers encouraging community members to participate as runners, walkers, volunteers, or sponsors. Funds raised will help support a range of causes across the Upper Adams area and beyond.
Registration for the event is $30. Participants who register by March 22, 2026, will receive a free race T-shirt and a commemorative medal. After that date, shirts and medals will be distributed while supplies last.
In addition to the race itself, the event will feature food trucks, raffles, awards, and other activities for participants and spectators. Organizers said the goal is to make the morning a community gathering as well as a meaningful way to honor Bruce Hollabaugh’s legacy.
The race will take place at Hollabaugh Bros., Inc., located at 545 Carlisle Road, Biglerville. The orchard is a longtime fixture in the Upper Adams community and continues to host seasonal events throughout the year.
