The Gettysburg Borough Council seeks community volunteers to help assure continuity in staffing its current committees and to fill new positions in new committees.

Board member Matt Moon said the borough has about 55 or 60 seats that need to be filled at any time, which requires the borough to have a deep roster of concerned citizens who are willing to serve on these commissions. Currently the board is in need of alternate members for the zoning commission and the civil service commission.
The board is also seeking volunteers to fill its new human relations commission.
Interested parties can find a revised volunteer application on the borough website.
