Obituary: Leroy L. Klinefelter, Jr.

Leroy L. Klinefelter, Jr. of Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Paramount Senior Living. Born May 19, 1937, in Mount Pleasant Township, Adams County, PA, he was the son of the late Leroy L. & Florence R. (Millhimes) Klinefelter, Sr. Leroy is survived by his wife of seventy years, Shirley M. (Martin) Klinefelter. He was employed as a truck driver for sixty years in the bulk milk transportation industry, working for Clyde Klinefelter, Shirley Milhimes, Hoover’s Transport, and Forry’s Transportation. Leroy served as a Pennsylvania Constable and later as a part-time police officer in Oxford and Reading Townships in Adams County for many years. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and family. In addition to his wife, Leroy is survived by two daughters, Marie C. Milhimes of Gettysburg and Linda L. Madison (Ronald) of Spring Grove, PA, three sons, James F. Klinefelter, Charles K. Klinefelter (Laura) and Keith A. Klinefelter all of Gettysburg, fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Jane Klinefelter and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael L. Klinefelter, a grandson, Claude D. Milhimes, and seven siblings. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and burial will be private.
