David A. Edgecomb, Sr, age 95 of Shippensburg, passed away October 27, 2025, at home. He was born February 2, 1930, in St. Johnsbury, VT, to the late Ralph and Daisy (Cribbon) Edgecomb.

David was a US Army veteran and worked in commercial building construction for RS Noonan and later for JE Hurley. He was a member of the VFW in Vermont, the American Legion in Shippensburg, the Eagles in Carlisle, and the Elks. He was a life member of the NRA and operated Dave’s Small Engine Repair. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, especially Kyle Larson, snowmobiles, golfing, and had a Norton motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley M. (Paxton) Edgecomb; son, David A. Edgecomb, Jr of Dover, PA; daughter, Dolly L. Cotnoir and husband, Larry of Groton, VT; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Eleanor Feldmeyer and husband, John of Marion, PA. David was preceded in death by 2 great-grandchildren.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257, where funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service. Rev. Richard Reese will officiate the funeral. David will be laid to rest at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors by the Cumberland Valley Honor Guard Ritual Team.
