With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Louise Ellen Israel (Chronister), 71, of Carlisle, on November 6, 2025, at home. Born to the late Burnell David Chronister and Louise Anna Chronister (Demarest) of East Berlin.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Louise A. Kendall, and her husband Ed of Mount Holly Springs, PA, daughter, Mary A. LeCrone of Carlisle, son, Jeremiah J. LeCrone of Carlisle, daughter Rachel E. Smith and her husband Alex of Augusta, Ga, and Daughter Sheri A. Israel of Carlisle. Her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, more than anything, Jennifer, Sarah, Sereena, Sabrina, Shana, Deshawn, Daylin, LaCayla, Nhymir, Claytyn, Josiah, Zelyna, Jose II, Rumilly, Asmaa-Ri, Israa, and three great-grandchildren, Luke, Navi, and Olivia, all of Carlisle and Mt Molly Springs.

She is preceded in death by both her parents and her great-grandson, Allen E. LeCrone.

Louise’s hobbies were watching birds and drawing, and she loved reading her Bible. She loved spending time and having conversations with all her children and grandchildren. She spent many years volunteering at Birthright of Carlisle and is proud of her work as a CNA at Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle, PA, where she loved to care for others. In her later years, she enjoyed working as a coffee barista at the Carlisle Coffee Co. in Carlisle, PA. We rejoice that she is happy and with the Lord now.
