Shirley Mae Edgecomb, age 85 of Mechanicsburg, passed away on November 16, 2025, at Holy Spirit Hospital. She was born February 16, 1940, in Carlisle to the late Ralph E. and Viola (Myers) Paxton. Shirley was widowed by her husband, David Edgecomb, on October 27, 2025. She lived her life as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and loved her family. Shirley and David operated a store and garage in Vermont.
She is survived by her sister, Loretta Paxton; son, Bruck Keck, Jr,. and step-children, Dolly Cotnoir and husband, Larry, and David Edgecomb, Jr. Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Hurley, Terry Paxton, Robert Paxton, Ralph Paxton, Jr., Betty Smotherman, Ronald Paxton, and William Paxton.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Rev. Richard Reese will officiate the funeral. A viewing will be held from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Shirley will be laid to rest at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
