Obituary: Richard “Rich” E. Frock

Richard “Rich” E. Frock, 68, of Littlestown, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at home. He was the loving husband of Dorothy “Dottie” Frock of Littlestown; together, they shared 32 years of marriage.

Born July 7, 1957, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late Stanley and Lois Jean (Miller) Frock.

A meat cutter at a young age, Rich was employed with Reichart’s Meats, D and L Meats, and Charles R. Nell Meats, all of Littlestown. He retired from Safeway after 20 years as a meat cutter. Rich was a member of the Littlestown Fish and Game and an avid Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed fishing, butchering, putting puzzles together, and cutting firewood. Above all, Rich enjoyed laughing and making others laugh.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jeremy and Megan Frock; as well as “children by heart”, Jamie Peterson (Eric), Sabillasville, MD and Jeffrey Ricketts, Harney, MD; sister, Julie Kerr, Bedford, PA; brother, Robert Frock, Spring Grove, PA; “grandchildren by heart”, Jordan (Lauren), Chris (Courtney), Shawn, Danielle (Max) Ryan (Erin), Dallas, II, Braden (Shannon) and Tessa (Stephen) and eight “great grandchildren by heart” and “special family”, Phil and Donna Eckard, Union Bridge, MD

He was preceded in death by his sister, Josie Ward, as well as “children by heart”, Dallas and Charles “Rick” Ricketts.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11 AM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, with Pastor Darrell Davis officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 2-4 and 6 -8 PM, and again on Tuesday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Linganore Cemetery, Unionville, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Leon Moxley, Eric Peterson, Brad Hockensmith, Brian Hockensmith, Mikey Hockensmith, and Jeff Ricketts.
