Obituary: Dawn Lynn Parker

Dawn Lynn Parker, 57, of Carlisle, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 21, 2025. She was born on November 9, 1968, in Pittsburgh, PA, to William Parker and the late Judith (Tackett) Parker.

Dawn earned many degrees in her life, including her associate’s degree in criminal justice at HACC, a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of New York, and a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution at Sullivan University in Kentucky. She attended The Meeting House Church in Carlisle. Dawn was on the Advocacy Board for Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties. She was a proud recipient of the Molly Pitcher Award. Dawn was the owner/operator of Hooves and Healing, which offered equine therapy. She was an avid dog lover and spent her time being her grandkid’s #1 fan at all their sporting events.

Surviving are her daughters, Ashten Trimble (Jason) of Mt. Holly Springs, Chelsea Crow (Tyler) of Carlisle, and Paige Gittings of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Preston, Jax, Hayes, Bailey, Kennedy, and Knox; siblings, Ted Parker and Rebecca Riel; and nieces and nephews, Julian, Willow, Akira, and Amelia.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Meeting House in Carlisle, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17015, with Megan Byers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties, Domestic Violence Services ofCumberland & Perry Counties.
