Donald William “Bucky” Rhone, age 83 of Shippensburg, passed away December 28, 2025, at home. He was born April 27, 194,2, in Shippensburg to the late Harry A. and Anna M. (Perry) Rhone.
He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post 6168 in Shippensburg, where he was a bartender for over 30 years, and enjoyed helping the Amish by driving them to doctors’ appointments and hunting. Donald loved the outdoors and exploring, being around people, and playing poker with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Elaine (Starliper) Rhone, whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage to on December 23, 2025; daughter, Sandra May Farrow and husband, Justin; step-son, Jason Ray Starliper of Florida; grandchildren, Xander, Fiona, and Oliver; and brother, Leroy Rhone of Shippensburg. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bill Starliper and sisters-in-law, Patrica Hynes, Pamela Lee and Paula Hall. He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
