The annual Pennsylvania Farm Show is underway this week in Harrisburg, offering visitors free general admission and a wide range of agricultural exhibits, competitions, vendors and food attractions.
General admission to the Farm Show is free for all attendees. Organizers note, however, that some events and attractions require separate tickets or paid admission. These include certain fundraiser events for the Friends of the Farm Show Foundation, activities hosted by the Pennsylvania State Showmen’s Association, and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s Frontier Circuit Finals.
The Farm Show is held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, located at 2300 North Cameron Street in Harrisburg. The expansive complex hosts multiple exhibition halls, arenas, and food areas, making it one of the largest indoor agricultural events in the country.
Parking is available on site and at several off-site locations, with a daily parking fee of $15. On-site parking lots are within walking distance of the complex, while additional off-site lots open on a rolling basis depending on demand. Event staff and posted signage direct visitors to available parking areas.
Off-site parking is offered throughout the week at locations including Elmerton Avenue and Harrisburg Area Community College, both of which provide free shuttle service to the complex. Additional weekend-only parking is available at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Laboratory, both within walking distance of the Farm Show grounds.
Free shuttles operate continuously during the event for lots not within walking distance. All shuttles are wheelchair-accessible. Accessible parking for guests with disabilities is also available on a first-come, first-served basis near the complex.
In addition to livestock shows, educational exhibits and competitions, the Farm Show features a large selection of commercial exhibitors and food vendors. Visitors can browse displays from agricultural businesses, organizations and agencies, or sample a wide range of Pennsylvania-made foods and Farm Show favorites at the food court.
Organizers encourage attendees to review exhibitor listings, food vendor information and frequently asked questions online before arriving to help plan their visit.
