Obituary: Daniel Miller

Daniel Miller, a devoted father, mechanic, and true rock-and-roll soul, passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 31.

Known as a “gentle giant” by all who knew him, Daniel was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He possessed a rare combination of strength and tenderness, earning him the love of so many in his community.

Daniel was the heartbeat of M & S Automotive, where he worked side by side with his father in a partnership built on grit, grease, and mutual respect. Whether he was under the hood of someone’s car or perfecting his iconic purple Celica, Daniel’s craftsmanship was a point of pride. He lived life at full volume, notorious for his signature “Rock On” hand gesture and his love for loud music. Whether he was cruising on his Harley or turning wrenches, he lived with a spirit that was impossible to ignore.

While he loved the roar of an engine, Daniel had a soft spot for his cherished cats and a deep, abiding love for his family. He was the adored son of Dan W. Miller and Kristen L. Bruce, and held a special bond with his stepfather, Otega Stubbs. He also leaves behind his sister—and self-appointed “Mother Hen”—Amanda Miller, who looked after him with the fierce devotion and pride, only a sister could provide, and his nephew Jaedyn Allgood, who wasn’t just his family but was his best friend.

Above all else, Daniel’s greatest masterpieces were his children. He was the immensely proud father of his daughters, Madyson and Paisley, who were the light of his life. He also shared a special bond with his stepson, Gavin Fields; always beaming with pride and telling the world, “That’s my boy.”

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Earl Miller; he is survived by paternal grandmother, Judy Miller (Tom); Paternal Step Grandmother Glenna Miller of Westminster, MD paternal aunt, Donna Davis (Glenn) of Littlestown, PA; paternal uncle, Dave Miller (Stacy) of Taneytown, PA; maternal grandmother, Sandra Holden of Malabar, FL; maternal grandfather, James Bruce (Betty); and maternal uncle, James Bruce of Malabar, Fl.

Daniel’s life was defined by the family he chose. He is survived by his lifelong and forever brothers: Zack Sterner, Ronnie Cheeks (his “Rock On” brother), Joshua Craig, Joshua Lefevre, Bailey Davis, Brandon Davis, Chris Adcock, MJ Miller, and many more. He is also survived by his lifelong and forever sisters: Erin Lorenzano, Laryssa Craig, Amber Yohe, Delyila Hafer, and Taylor Mumma.

Daniel leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a trail of music, and a family, including many cousins and relatives whom he loved dearly—who will forever miss his “rock on” spirit and his big, open heart. He was loved by so many, and the road ahead will be quieter without him.

The family will receive friends and share memories on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 9 AM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, with a Service to begin at 10 AM with Dr. Ray Shutt officiating. Burial will be in Bixler’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
