Alice was indeed the virtuous woman described in Proverbs 31 of the Bible. Her worth and value to her family and those who loved her were indeed far above rubies and gold. She loved and cared for not only her own family but also many others, especially those in need. She was always loving and kind and dearly loved children. Her own children and grandchildren were her greatest treasures.

She loved to read, was a good cook, liked to garden, tending to her flowers and plants. Alice was known for her love of blue glass, cardinals, animals, and collecting all kinds of things, but above all else, she loved the Lord Jesus. She was a faithful handmaid of the Lord who poured herself out serving him. Her greatest joy was worshipping, singing, and attending church.

Alice loved to teach Sunday School and go to Bible Studies and Full Gospel events. She also was a soul winner and ran her home under the name of “The Lighthouse.” She was an avid reader of the Bible and a prayer warrior. Many turned to her with prayer requests and spiritual advice.

Alice was the pillar of her family and will be greatly missed, however we rejoice at her heavenly homecoming! Alice is survived by her children, Bonita Sextro of Florida, Paul Sanders and Steve Sanders both of Gettysburg, PA and Donna Murtha of Tennessee, sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, three brothers, Jack “Randy” Ditzler (Linda) of Hanover, PA, Ricky Ditzler and Jimmy Ditzler both of McSherrystown, PA and a sister, Debbie Wolf of Hanover, PA

She was also predeceased by a brother, Ray Ditzler, and three sisters, Gloria Milburn, Sherry Blevans, and Darlene Leppo. Funeral

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Rev. Garry Scheaffer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. A Visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
