Obituary: Joseph E. Robinson II

Joseph E. Robinson, II, 60, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born October 24, 1965, in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Rosita Martin Robinson, Sr. Joe is survived by his wife, Jennifer “Jenni’ Oyler Robinson.

Joe was a 1983 graduate of Gettysburg High School. After high school he worked for the Gettysburg College, but for most of his career he was employed at UNFI a division of Giant Foods in Carlisle, PA as a sales analyst. Joe was a life member of both the Bendersville and Barlow Fire Companies, serving as Past President at Bendersville and Deputy Chief at Barlow. He enjoyed traveling, particularly to Ocean City, MD, the Tennessee Mountains, and antiquing in Virginia. He was an avid Notre Dame football and Baltimore Orioles fan. He played baseball for many years and enjoyed bowling, once rolling a 300 game, and hunting. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by a son Jared Robinson and his wife Allison of Littlestown, PA, a daughter, Jenna Robinson and her fiancé Isaac Smith of Gettysburg, PA, three grandchildren; Rhett Robinson, Everly Robinson, Ashton Jumper, and a sister, Melissa A. Hemler and her husband Chris of East Berlin, PA and Tim Slaybaugh, along with numerous nieces and nephews He was predeceased by two sisters; Sharon M. Slaybaugh and Lynne A. Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. There will be a viewing at Monahan Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be at Bendersville Cemetery.
