Mary Louise Fleming, 95, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Pappus House Hospice in Thomasville, PA.
She was born on November 23, 1930, in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late David M. and Mary Virginia Kessel Clapsaddle.
Mary was a member of the Gettysburg Methodist Church. For over 33 years, she was the Head Teller at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C. Mary enjoyed traveling with her group, “The Recycled Teenagers,” and reading. But most of all, she loved visits from her family.
Mary is survived by three children: Donald Lewis of San Diego, CA, David Lewis and his wife Mary Lou of Stafford, VA, Michael Fleming and his significant other Arlene of Miami, FL, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Dolores “Sue” Hess of Gettysburg, PA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Wesner, and a sister, Joyce Palmer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Gettysburg Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
