Scott E. Miller, age 63, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away suddenly on the morning of Monday, February 2, 2026.
Scott was born on January 15, 1963, in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Lester and Edith (Greenwald) Miller. He attended Biglerville High School and began his career at International Paper, where he remained for many years. Most recently, Scott was employed by Hillandale Farms. Aside from work, he enjoyed being outside, fishing, motorcycle riding, and playing horseshoes with anyone who was willing to play. Most of all, he loved spending time and joking with his daughters and his two-year-old grandson. Scott was a fun and caring father and “pap”.
Scott is survived by his two daughters, Lindsey (Miller) Bankert and husband Andrew of Frederick, MD, and Annie (Miller) Hendrix and husband Corbin of Gettysburg, PA, and his grandson, Aiden Bankert. In addition to his daughters and grandson, he is survived by two brothers, Barry Miller of St. Petersburg, FL and Jeff Miller of New Providence, PA; three sisters, Connie Curtis of Douglas, GA, Susan Wherley of Gettysburg, PA and Stacy Nowak of Fairfield, PA; and several nephews and nieces. Scott was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Wherley.
A memorial service in Scott’s honor will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 am at Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.
