Michael Robert Brewer, 58, of Shippensburg, PA, passed away on February 13, 2026, at his home. Born on November 11, 1967, he was the son of Robert and Donna Brewer of Gettysburg.
Michael attended Gettysburg High School and earned his GED in 1986. He worked for Dal-Tile of Gettysburg for 35 years in the shipping and receiving department, and more recently was employed by DB Schenker in Shippensburg.
A lifelong computer enthusiast, Michael enjoyed gaming and exploring new technology. He also had a deep love for photography and was rarely without a camera in hand, always capturing moments, people, and the world around him. He loved being outdoors, often taking his metal detector along as he searched for hidden treasures wherever the trail led. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, finding peace and joy in nature. Michael cherished family vacations to Ocean City, Maryland, where he spent time in the water and enjoyed long walks on the beach. He was a talented cook who liked experimenting with new recipes and spices.
He is survived by his son, Addam Brewer, and his wife, Tina; his granddaughter, Nikki Koontz; his mother, Donna Brewer; two sisters, Karen Hess and her husband, Michael, and Susan Burkholder, all of Gettysburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Brewer, who passed on January 18, 2026.
Services will be held at Monahan’s Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. A visitation will take place from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a prayer service at 11:00 a.m., and burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
