Sandie S. Eversole, 73, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her home.
She was born July 4, 1952, in York Springs, PA, the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Day May. Sandie is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ronald A. Eversole.
Sandie was a graduate of Bermudian Springs High School and began working at various nursing homes in the area, including Green Acres. She was also employed at Knouse Foods as a Lab Tech. Sandie then attended HACC Nursing School and reentered the healthcare field, retiring after 37 years of nursing. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, reading, cooking, and baking. She was very good at crocheting things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But most of all, she loved time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Sandie is survived by a daughter, Trixy VanArsdale of Biglerville, PA, a son, Bill VanArsdale of Houtzdale, PA, three grandchildren; Tanner Sanders and his wife Maddie, Kaylee Campbell, Kase VanArsdale, four great grandchildren; Stetson Sanders, Bowen Sanders, Moxen Sanders, Colt Sanders, sisters; Kay Wolford, Vonnie Harbold, and Connie Hurley. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Bill May, Stella Shellehamer, Shelby Bomgard, Darby May, and Mike May.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at York Springs Global Methodist Church, York Springs, PA, with Pastor Trisha Guise officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs, PA. There will be a viewing at the church on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
