Carter Wagaman turned in a dominant performance on the mound, scattering five hits over a complete game to earn the win while racking up 10 strikeouts.
The New Oxford offense was sparked by Gavin Haifley, who finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored. The decisive blow came in the bottom of the fourth inning when Nolan O’Brien cracked a two-run double, driving in the eventual game-winning runs.

Greencastle, the No. 1-ranked team in District 3 5A, rolled over homestanding Squires on Thursday. In addition to knocking out 13 hits, Greencastle pitching limited Delone to just a one hit, a Colton McMaster single.

Undefeated Palmyra broke open a tight game with a three-spot in the fifth in defeating the Warriors Thursday afternoon. Gettysburg was held to just two hits, as three Palmyra pitchers racked up a total of 15 strikeouts on the day. Starter Logan Kriner struck out nine over four innings. Aiden Willard’s three-run home run punctuated the big inning. Kyle Lew and Jeff Weikert had the Gettysburg hits; Lew’s was a double.

Luke Smith and Nick Petrie each scored four goals to lead New Oxford to the win. For Delone, Will Holtz led the effort with a goal and an assist while adding three ground balls. Noah Flickinger and Zay Hoey each contributed a goal, while Nik Holtz had four ground balls and two takeaways.

Bermudian earned a decisive track and field victory over Middletown behind a sweep of first-place finishes. Blair Cruz and Cameron Hackman led the way in the sprints, while Brooklyn Hernandez and Jaxon Litzinger captured distance events. Layton McCauslin and Levi Smith paced the field events with wins in the jumps and throws, and Easton Tanner, Liam Watts, Noah Weiser, and Shane Wolf added top finishes.

Kaitlyn Toti won both the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Autumn Geisler captured the 400, Abby Myers took the 1600, Evelyn Peters added wins in the 200, triple jump, and high jump, while Chloe Stuart (javelin) took another first. Lily Chubb cleared 6-6 to win the pole vault.

A big win for the Warriors on the road at Palmyra on Thursday afternoon. Abigail Thompson had three of Gettysburg’s 10 hits, highlighted by a key two-run single in the fourth inning that put her team ahead to stay. Emily Haines turned in a gritty complete-game performance in the pitching circle for Gettysburg.
