Elaine W. Strachan, 90 of Fairfield, PA, passed away at her home after a long illness.
Born February 10, 1936, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of the late Everett G. & Helen (Watson) Wills. Elaine is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Strachan, three children, Alan Manns of Rouzerville, PA, Karen Meronek of Cape Coral, FL, and Laura Bosley of Bel Air, MD, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard O. Manns, who died in 1988, and three siblings, Lee Wills, Linda Kahler, and Debbie Heffner.
Elaine graduated in 1954 from Fairfield High School, it was the first graduating class from the new high school. She attended the Waynesboro Business School, earning an associate degree. Elaine served for many years with the Lincoln Intermediate School Unit as a deaf/hearing-impaired specialist. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed cross-stitch, gardening, and browsing for antiques.
