Candice loved ballroom dancing and turned it into a career. By the age of 15, she was an award-winning professional ballroom dancer/instructor working for both Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire Dance Studios. In the mid to late 1980’s, she arrived in Southern California and settled in Venice, California, where she worked as a background actress in movies and television. She became a practicing Buddhist with the Soka Gakkai International in 1989 and met her future husband, Patrick, at a Buddhist gathering a year later.

She returned to the East Coast in 2001 and lived with her husband and three cats in Alexandria, Virginia, until 2015, when they relocated to one of their favorite vacation destinations: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. When she wasn’t wrangling cats, Candice enjoyed chatting and spending time visiting with her many friends at the Garryowen Irish Pub. She was an active listener with a kind, loving heart.

In accordance with Candice’s wishes, her remains are to be cremated and returned to her birthplace. Thank you for keeping Candice in your thoughts. The Monahan Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements, and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
