Donna Marie Flickinger, 76, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Gettysburg Hospital.
Donna was born in Peterborough, NH, on March 12, 1950, the daughter of the late James Arthur and Marie Leonard Rajaniemi. The family moved to Stevenson, MD, in 1966. In 1975, Donna moved to Glen Rock, PA, and has been a Pennsylvania resident ever since.
Donna enjoyed going to the auction and hunting for treasure. She liked to find anything decorated with a peacock to add to her collection. An avid reader, Donna had an extensive vocabulary and was difficult to beat in a game of Scrabble. She loved all animals, but especially her pet bird, Rascal, and poodle, Raja. More than anything, Donna loved spending time at home with her family.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Gary Flickinger, a son, Jim Cockey of Gettysburg, PA, a daughter, Amber Marie Rogers and her companion Mike of New Oxford, PA, a step-son, Robert Flickinger of Newport, PA, two sisters; Bonnie Newton and her companion Vernon Hawkes of York, PA and Terri Wherley and her husband Dave of Glen Rock, PA, as well as, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
