Rose Marie Collins, 90 of Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Senior Commons at Powder Mill in York, PA. Born September 12, 1935, in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. & Hattie C. (Sanders) Wagner. Rose was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Ervin Dewey Collins, Jr., who died in 2002.
She was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Rose had been employed by the G. C. Murphy’s store and the Rea & Derick Drug store in Gettysburg for several years. She was a very active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Mother’s Club, Girl Scout Leader, and assisted in cleaning the church and altar, as well as ironing vestments.
Rose was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She was a very good cook and family party planner. Rose was young at heart, loved to dance, and enjoyed being around young people.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tina Minnich (Thomas) of Cochranton, PA and Sharon Weigle (Joseph) of Gettysburg, five grandchildren, Jason Minnich (Libbi) of Cochranton, PA, Erin Coleman (Matthew) of North Dinwiddie, VA, Tiffany Weigle of Littlestown, PA, Brandon Weigle (Patricia) of Cascade, MT and Blake Weigle (Stephanie) of Red Lion, PA and nine great grandchildren, Nolan, Josie, Emory, Landon, Carter, Asher, Ira, Alice and Logan.
