Eleanor S. Kuhn, 90, Gettysburg, PA, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Genesis Gettysburg Center.
She was born August 18, 1935, in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late Charles E and Blanche Smith. Eleanor’s husband, Marlin L. Kuhn, died in 1995.
Eleanor was a 1953 graduate of Gettysburg High School. For 37 years, she was employed in the Guidance Office at Gettysburg High School as a secretary, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Gettysburg Garden Club and a volunteer for the Adams County Library. She enjoyed all animals, but especially her cats.
Ellie is survived by two sons: David Kuhn and his wife Agidia of Frankfort, KY, and Terry Kuhn and his companion, Tracye Friedman of Owings Mills, Maryland; a granddaughter, Jennifer D. Watters and her husband Davis; and two great-grandchildren: Adelyn Watters and Lyla Watters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Disabled American Veterans at dav.org.
