Voters head to the polls tomorrow for primary election day

Pennsylvania voters will head to the polls on Tuesday for the state’s 2026 primary election, with polling places open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Under Pennsylvania law, any voter who is in line by 8 p.m. must be allowed to cast a ballot.

State officials are encouraging voters to familiarize themselves with their rights before heading to the polls. First-time voters at a polling location must present identification, though most voters who have previously voted at their precinct do not need to show ID. Acceptable forms of identification include a Pennsylvania driver’s license, a passport, or another document showing the voter’s name and address.

Voters who encounter problems at the polls may request a provisional ballot, which county election officials review later to determine eligibility.

Election officials also reminded voters that intimidation at polling places is illegal under both state and federal law. Voters who experience threats, harassment or other forms of intimidation can report incidents to county election offices or call the Pennsylvania voter hotline at 1-877-VOTESPA.

Those who applied for mail ballots but changed their minds may still vote in person by bringing their mail ballot and envelopes to their polling place to be voided. Voters who lost or never received their mail ballot may still cast a provisional ballot on Election Day.

Pennsylvania also requires every polling place to provide at least one accessible voting system for voters with disabilities.

Adams County voters can find their polling place and additional election information through the Pennsylvania Department of State website at [Pennsylvania polling place locator](https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/PollingPlaceInfo.aspx?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
