East Berlin Summerfest 5K returns July 18

Runners and walkers will have a chance to celebrate a milestone this summer as the East Berlin Area Community Center hosts the 30th Annual Summerfest 5K on Saturday, July 18.

The race will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at the East Berlin Area Community Center, 405 North Ave., East Berlin.

The annual event is one of the highlights of the East Berlin Summerfest celebration and supports programs offered through the community center. Registration information is available through RunSignup at https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/EastBerlin/23EBACC5K.

Following the main race, children ages 2 to 12 can participate in the Kids Fun Run, which starts at 8:45 a.m. Entry for the youth event is $10.

The East Berlin Area Community Center, commonly known as EBACC, has served the region for decades with recreational, educational, and wellness programs. Organizers say the Summerfest 5K offers a family-friendly atmosphere while encouraging healthy lifestyles and community involvement.
