Obituary: Barbara Ann Muller

Barbara Ann Muller, 78, of Fayetteville PA died Monday afternoon, June 29, 2026 at Artis Senior Center of West Shore, Lemoyne, PA.

Born November 17, 1947 in Hanover, PA. She was the daughter of the late Emerson and Arlene (Wintrode) Muller. Barbara is survived by her siblings, Stephanie Muller, of Fayetteville, PA, Ray Muller and wife Martha, of Idaho, and Mary Stetson and husband Dana, of New York as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara worked in quality control in Philadelphia and then Hanover, PA at Hanover Brands. While in Hanover she was involved in the Hanover Community Players as a Producer and volunteered with the Crisis Hotline prompting her career move to social work.

Barbara worked various places as a social worker, including Anchor House (Catholic Charity) in Washington, DC as a house supervisor and grant proposal writer; Green Acres Nursing Home in Gettysburg, PA as a social worker; Hope Station in Carlisle, PA as assistant director. She volunteered at the local Democratic committee, the Red Cross of Carlisle as a disaster team leader, and as a Girl Scouts leader in Carlisle, PA. Barbara joined Trinity UCC in Gettysburg after moving to Gettysburg. She also enjoyed keeping up to date with current events, Sci-Fi, photography, singing, and traveling.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Trinity UCC, 60 E. High St. of Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be at St. Mary’s UCC in Silver Run, MD. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
