John A. Gantz, 90, of Littlestown, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at UPMC Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of Patricia J. (Weaver) Gantz who passed away July 1, 2023.
Born September 10, 1935 in Aspers, PA, he was the son of the late Alvey C. and Violet (Mills) Gantz.
John served his country in the United States Army and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He was employed with Aberdeen Proving Ground, Hartford County, Maryland and retired from York Building Products, Hanover, PA. John was a member of the Littlestown American Legion, Post 321.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathi Rohrbaugh and husband Neal, Spring Grove, PA and Amy Clingan, Littlestown, PA; grandchildren, Megan, Kara and husband Jeff, Melissa and Mark and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Gantz, son in law, Steven Clingan, granddaughter, Janet Gantz, sister, Violet Gantz, brothers, Jewel, George and Frank Gantz and nephews, Fred, Donnie and Bob Gantz.
A service to celebrate the life of John A. Gantz will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 53 West King St., Littlestown with Rev. Jennifer Taylor officiating. Inurnment will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.
