The Gettysburg Recreation Park (GARA) will host National Night Out 2026 on Tuesday, August 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., bringing together residents, first responders, community organizations, and local partners for an evening focused on strengthening community relationships and promoting public safety.
The event’s theme is “Building a Stronger, Safer Community Together,” with the message “Stronger Together. Safer Together.”
The free, family-friendly event will be held rain or shine at Gettysburg Recreation Park, 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign designed to enhance the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve while fostering neighborhood spirit and partnerships.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Meet local police officers and first responders.
- See emergency equipment and vehicles up close.
- Visit with community organizations and learn about local resources.
- Enjoy food, music, and family-friendly activities.
- Participate in games and activities for children of all ages.
