State police seek help identifying man found dead in Adams County

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered Sunday morning in Menallen Township.

According to state police, the man was found around 10:30 a.m. July 26 in a wooded area along the south side of the 45 block of Upper Temple Road. Troopers and the Adams County Coroner responded to the scene.

The victim is described as a white Hispanic man believed to be in his 40s or 50s. He was approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighed about 185 pounds.

At the time he was found, the man was wearing green-and-black AND1 shorts, a red-and-black T-shirt with the word “NASSAU” on the front, and flip-flops.

Investigators said he had no tattoos, piercings, or jewelry and was not carrying any identification or personal belongings that could help determine his identity.

An autopsy is scheduled for today to determine the cause and manner of death.

As investigators processed the scene Sunday, Upper Temple Road was closed for several hours between Brysonia-Wenksville Road and Excelsior Road. The roadway has since reopened.

State police are asking anyone who may have information that could help identify the man or assist in the investigation to contact the Gettysburg station at 717-334-8111.
