John Louis Rebert, 68, of Fairfield, PA, passed away Monday afternoon, August 10, 2026, at his home in Fairfield.

Born January 28, 1958, in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late John Ruhl and Mary Emma (Lingg) Rebert.

John loved God and all the creatures he created; he enjoyed gardening and planting trees and flowers. He had many interests and was a skilled piano player and the 1984 State Roller Skating Champion.

John is survived by his sister, Anna Louise Rebert Akers, and her husband, Vincent; his brother, Thomas Ornan Rebert; a number of nieces and nephews; his friend, Ronald Boll; and his trusted dog, Little JJ. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Stephen Leo Rebert and Dennis P. Rebert.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 256 Tract Rd., Fairfield, PA, with Fr. Peter DiTomasso as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the start of Mass on Friday morning at the church.
