A virtuoso duo, formed by Adam Levin and Jacob Reuven in 2017, explores their passion for Israeli music and the expansion of mandolin-guitar repertoire. September 12 at 6 pm – United 93: A 25th Anniversary Screening and Conversation @ Majestic
This evening will feature a special screening of Paul Greengrass’s award-winning film, United 93, as well as remarks from cast members and others involved with telling this powerful story. World-renowned soloists, Duo Mantar (guitar and mandolin) will join the orchestra to perform the magical Concerto for Mandolin, Guitar and Strings by Gettysburg resident and internationally acclaimed composer Avner Dorman. Paragon Ragtime Orchestra returns to the Majestic to perform the rare, original score that accompanies Harold Lloyd’s silent film Safety Last! This annual event begins at the Historic Round Barn and features five historic barns in Gettysburg/Adams County. After checking in, participants will receive a tour booklet and map showing the barn locations, so one may tour at one’s leisure. There are fun and educational opportunities at each barn, including living history characters, live music, artists, and food for purchase.
