Spring Grove 3 Bermudian Springs 2

Spring Grove earned a 3-2 victory over Bermudian Springs in girls tennis Monday, splitting the doubles matches and taking two of three singles matches.
Bermudian opened with a win at first singles, as Addison Elliott defeated Madison Dunmeyer, 6-0, 6-0. Spring Grove answered with wins at second and third singles, with Nadina Sarev beating Brynn Nickey, 6-1, 6-0, and Aleiah Gentzler topping Claire Plumley, 6-3, 6-4.
The teams then split doubles. Bermudian’s Ruth Worley/Lilah Nelson won at first doubles, 7-6(1), 6-4, over Annabelle Gentzler/Avery Skelly, while Spring Grove’s Savannah Roberts/Tiana Hofman secured the deciding point at second doubles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Kyria Jacoby/Braelyn Black.

Delone Catholic picked up a 3-0 varsity volleyball win over Upper Dauphin on the road, winning 25-17, 25-15 and 26-24. The Squirettes also won the JV match 2-0, taking the sets 25-22 and 25-13.
Lily Kane led Delone with 12 kills, followed by NaTaya Glacken with eight and Kaitlyn Synnamon and Audrey McKee with six apiece. Zoe Gregg recorded 17 assists, and Maddye Slonaker added 10, while Glacken had three blocks. McKee served four aces and Lia Fleming added three, with Alexa Young and Kenzie Groft leading the defense with six and five digs, respectively.

The Gettysburg Warriors came out of the gate in their season opener with tenacious defense, taking one set off South Western but ultimately falling 3-1 in sets of 19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 22-25.
McKayla Crawford led with 10 digs, while Sierra Shepherd had nine. Maren Miller and Alyssa Ketterman each chipped in 10 kills, and Jazlyn Looney added seven kills. Viktoria Reber led the offense with 20 assists.
