Delone dropped a 1-0 decision to Shalom Christian Academy on Friday despite generating several scoring opportunities. The Flames scored the game’s only goal on a shot over freshman goalkeeper Matt Holtz, who played all 80 minutes and made seven saves.
Will Holtz led the Squires with 10 shots, including six on goal, while also recording seven steals. John Keeley added four shots, two on goal, and two steals, while defender Nico Scamardella recorded 10 steals.
Delone created several chances in the second half but was unable to find the tying goal.

A big win for Littlestown, as the Bolts traveled to York Springs and brought home a big win. With the win, Littlestown improves to 2-1 on the season and will go for its third win at home versus York Catholic next week. Bermudian, off to a sluggish 1-2 start, will hope to get back on track next week at Susquehannock.

The Squires couldn’t generate much on offense down in Glen Rock Friday night, falling to 0-3 with a loss to Susquehannock. Delone now hosts Biglerville next Friday, where both teams will be searching for their first win of the season.
Girls Tennis

New Oxford 4 Chambersburg 1
New Oxford remained unbeaten with a 4-1 win over Chambersburg on Friday in a closely contested match. The Colonials won two of the three singles matches and swept doubles, with three matches featuring particularly close sets.
Lawrence prevailed in a 14-12 third-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles, while Christner and Martin needed three sets at No. 1 doubles. Yates and Ramirez-Contreas rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the opening set at No. 2 doubles before winning it in a tiebreaker and taking the second set, 6-4.
