John Lee Moorehead, 66, of Littlestown, passed away at his home on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Born October 3, 1959, in Miami, Florida, John was the son of Janice Louise (Poe) Moorehead and the late Bruce Marshall Moorehead. He moved to Laurel, Maryland, in 1974 and graduated from Laurel Senior High School in 1977.
John earned his nursing degree from Thomas Jefferson University in 1988 and devoted his career to caring for others as a registered nurse. His commitment to learning continued throughout his life, and he pursued graduate studies in psychology at Union College in 2013. Both personally and professionally, John dedicated his life to helping those in need.
John deeply loved his family and his cats. He will be remembered for his kind and caring nature and his special ability to bring a smile to those around him.
In addition to his mother, John is survived by his sisters, Kim Louise (Moorehead) DiLorenzo and her husband, Richard, and Cindy Moorehead; his nephew, Shawn Moorehead; and his niece, Codi Chester DiLorenzo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Marshall Moorehead, and his brother, Kenneth Lynn Moorehead.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Littlestown.
