Gettysburg split its two games at Saturday’s tournament at York Suburban, opening with a 3-1 win over the host Trojans before falling 1-0 to Spring Grove. Aleah Jacobs scored twice in the opener after Hadlee Updyke put the Warriors on the board, while Spring Grove’s Camden Roche scored the only goal of the second game late in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors got off to a strong first-quarter start, but where then unable to contain the Polar Bears as the game wore on. Gettysburg will look to get back in the win column next week at home against Mechanicsburg.

Delone picked up a pair of varsity volleyball wins, defeating Bishop McDevitt in four sets and York Catholic in three.
Against McDevitt, Delone won 3-1, taking the match by scores of 25-15, 26-28, 25-8 and 25-23. Delone then swept York Catholic, 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-20 and 25-8.
Delone’s JV team also won both matches, defeating McDevitt 2-1 and York Catholic 2-0.
