Michael Dean Shaffer, age 69, of Biglerville, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Gettysburg Hospital
He was born on April 10, 1957, in Mechanicsburg. His parents were Wanda Ruth Shaffer (Seymour) and Dean Shaffer. He graduated from Biglerville High School, Class of 1975. He retired from Kennie’s Market in Biglerville. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with family, and was a homebody at heart.
In addition to his father, he is survived by four brothers, Philip (Darlene) West of East Berlin, Ronald (Rose) West of Gettysburg, Stephen and James Shaffer, both of Biglerville, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. The memorial service will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
