Wilmer Ivan Grim, 96, of East Berlin, died September 7, 2026, at home. Born in Strinestown, he was the son of Clarence W. and Winifred S. (Swartz) Grim. His wife of 67 years, Doris Romaine (Ferree) Grim, preceded him in death.
Grim operated a plumbing business for more than 50 years. His church connections included Bermudian Church and St. Paul’s “Red Run” in East Berlin. He enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, cards and horseshoes. He continued hunting through age 91 and bowling through age 93.
He is survived by seven children: Kerry I. Grim, Kathy E. Berthoud, Rick A. Grim, Randy H. Grim, Bryon W. Grim, Beth A. Crone and Troy K. Grim; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. His 16 siblings also preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements listed a September 15 service at Bermudian Church and burial at Red Run Church Cemetery in East Berlin. Memorial donations may be made to Bermudian Church.
