Anita Marie Buie, 80, of Hanover, died September 18, 2026, at Homewood of Plum Creek. Born in Hanover, she was the daughter of S. Francis and Marie G. (Rickrode) Riser. Her husband, Curtis Robert Buie, preceded her in death.
Buie spent her 40-year career at Hanover Hall, where she served as director of nursing. Her community affiliations included the John T. Reilly Historical Society, Irishtown Fire Company and York Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer M. Brenner and husband Troy of Fairfield; son, James R. Buie and wife Adriana Ngom of Baltimore; and grandsons Evan Donnelly, Liam Donnelly and Chase Brenner.
Arrangements listed a September 25 viewing in New Oxford and a September 26 funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Basilica in Hanover, followed by burial at Conewago Chapel Basilica Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanover Fire Museum or VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove.
