Robert “Bob” William Emig, 72, of Abbottstown, died September 15, 2026. Born in Hanover, he was the son of Clair and Phyllis Emig.
Emig worked for 43 years as a batch plant operator at Zeigler’s Concrete. After retiring, he drove trucks for Deer Ridge Trucking and Winand Trucking. He enjoyed hunting, archery, camping and family beach trips.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debora; daughters Crystal Wilcox and husband Jeremy of Dover, and Christie Murphy and husband Jim of York; grandsons Owen and Evan Wilcox; sister Barbara Pauley; and brother Todd Emig. His parents and brother Jed Emig preceded him in death.
Funeral arrangements listed a September 23 service at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abbottstown and burial in its cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the church’s Touch of Grace Fund.
