Ann Comfort Dubbs, 95, of Gettysburg, died Oct. 22, 2026, at Providence Place in Chambersburg. Born Dec. 13, 1930, in Winchester, Virginia, she was the daughter of Wilda Waddell and William Tawney.
Dubbs was preceded in death by her husband, Winfield W. Dubbs. She is survived by two daughters, Judith Buyny and Joyce Deardorff; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed travel, reading, needlework, puzzles and gardening. A longtime member of Gettysburg Foursquare Gospel Church, she taught Sunday school and supported the church and its community.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Gettysburg Foursquare Gospel Church, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg.
