GettysburgConnection.org brings Adams County residents together to share news, activities, ideas, and interests. We publish local journalism that promotes civic engagement and community trust.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us in the following positions. Each position can be performed according to an individual’s personal schedule. Most positions involve working from home.
Visual Arts Editor
- Create and maintain a list of all visual artists in the county
- Create and maintain a list of all visual arts galleries in the county
- Update the events calendar weekly to include all visual arts openings and exhibitions
- Create and maintain a regular visual arts mailing for artists and residents
Music Editor
- Create and maintain a list of all musicians in the county
- Create and maintain a list of all musical venues in the county
- Update the events calendar weekly to include all musical events
- Create and maintain a regular music mailing for musicians and residents
Reporter/Photographer
- Report on governmental meetings (boroughs and townships)
- Cover other events in Adams County as needed
Web Designer/Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Maintain and tune the Gettysburg Connection Website
- Optimize search results
Public Relations and/or Social Media Manager
- Increase the visibility of Gettysburg Connection in the county
- Coordinate social media and mailing campaigns
