Junior Zanze Kuba-McCoy (Somerville, N.J./Somerville) posted 13 kills and freshman Cat Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) added a season-high 10 kills as Gettysburg College closed the regular season with a 3-0 victory over Ursinus College in a Centennial Conference volleyball match Saturday afternoon.

  • Gettysburg pounded down 41 kills and posted a season-best attack percentage of .287. The Bullets have hit .248 or better in five of the last six matches.
  • Kuba-McCoy recorded her 18th contest with double-figure kills. The junior outside hitter finished the regular season averaging 3.69 kills per set, which is the best mark by a Bullet since Laura Bergin ’16 in 2015 (3.8 kps).
  • Holtz continued her late-season surge by notching a career-best 10 kills, topping her previous season high by one. Over her last four outings, the first-year has tallied 31 kills and 15 total blocks.
  • Gettysburg clinched the No. 5 seed in the CC Tournament. The remaining playoff teams are Johns Hopkins, Haverford, Swarthmore and Franklin & Marshall.

Gettysburg improved to 45-0 all-time against Ursinus in a series that dates back to 1978.

Looking Ahead
Gettysburg will travel to Franklin & Marshall for the first round of the CC Championship on Wednesday, Nov. 3. More information on the playoffs will be available on Monday.
