A Busy Autumn Season On Stage at the Gettysburg Community Theatre

Gettysburg Community Theatre (GCT), the non-profit 501c3 organization currently in its 17th year at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in Gettysburg, PA, recently closed a sold out three week run of The Rocky Horror Show LIVE on stage whose film is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Under the direction of GCT Founding Executive/Artistic Director, Chad-Alan Carr, the rest of their Autumn Season promises to be filled with laughter, music, and family! The GCT bar and box office open one hour before each performance for patrons to enjoy wine, beer, cocktails, sodas, and coffee before and during the show. Advanced order tickets are encouraged for the intimate space theatre online at www.gettysburgcommunitytheatre.org

GCT’s Improv Troupe, under the direction of Karen Land, features local actors that make the show up as they go along without a script much like the hit tv show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”. The show is at 7pm Saturday, October 25th with tickets available online and at the door.

The Ben Jones Brass will perform a concert at 7pm November 22nd on the GCT stage. Audiences will enjoy music from The Great American Songbook, a Patriotic Medley, and more. This event featuring local musicians will help support the various GCT Memorial Scholarships of Taylor Zimmerman, Betsy & Hank White, Pat Crowner, Karl E. Held, Dr. Martin Schroeder, and Kathleen Platzer. Donations can be made at any time on the GCT website or at the concert.

Home For The Holidays is GCT’s annual Christmas concerts that features GCT alumni that are home for Thanksgiving weekend. Under the direction of Carrie Conklin, the local children and adult concerts will be on the GCT stage at 7pm November 28th and 2pm November 29th. Audiences are encouraged to order their tickets in advance online as this annual concert tends to sell out.

The 2025 GCT Season will close with Disney’s Alice In Wonderland jr based on the Disney films. This production is being performed by GCT’s Penguin Project educational/outreach program for actors with special needs and peer mentors. The cast includes actors with and without special needs ages 10+ from Adams, York, and Franklin Counties. Performances will be at the GCT stage 7pm Fridays and 2pm Saturdays and Sundays December 5-21, 2025.

“GCT hopes to see YOU at the theatre soon”, says Carr, “and please attend and donate to the most important event of the year, THE GIVING SPREE, which will be 3-7pm Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Wyndham Gettysburg. Every dollar raised for GCT helps keep our stage door open for all ages and abilities through providing scholarships for classes/camps, and helping cover rising costs of royalties, costumes, advertising and other production expenses. This annual fundraising event by the Adams County Community Foundation is absolutely vital to GCT and so many not-for-profit 501c3 organizations. We are honored and thrilled to be among them and to have your continued support.”
