Abbottstown Hires a Police Officer

The Gettysburg Times reported today that Abbottstown will hire James R. Graham, former Gettysburg state police commander, as a part-time police officer.

Graham enlisted in the state police in 1987. After graduation from the State Police Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Gettysburg Station.

Graham was promoted to corporal in 2002 and sergeant in 2011.

Graham is a 1979 graduate of the Latrobe Senior High School, a 1983 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 1984 graduate of the Westmoreland County Community College Act 120 Program.

Graham will begin work immediately.
