The Adams County Arts Council will feature their annual Instructors Show and All County Student Show during the month of February. A First Friday opening reception is scheduled for Friday, February 2, 5-7 p.m. and is open to the public. The shows will remain up through the end of the month.
The Instructors Show, exhibited in the Gallery, features 2D and 3D artwork by eleven ACAC instructors who teach classes offered at the ACAC’s Arts Education Center throughout the year. The Arts Council Program and Gallery Director, Wendy Heiges, says, “Our instructors teach at the Arts Education Center because they enjoy sharing their love of the arts with our community. This is a terrific opportunity for you to enjoy their original artwork. We hope it inspires you to take a class with us.”
The All-County Student Show exhibited in the Reception Hall, features artwork by selected high school students from Bermudian Springs, Fairfield, Gettysburg, Littlestown and Biglerville and New Oxford High Schools. Biglerville High School Art Teacher, Shawn Heiges, says, “My Biglerville High School students are excited for the opportunity to show their work, and I am especially proud of the students who have stepped out of their comfort zones through their creative process this year.”
