Gettysburg’s first ever Act Local Fair will take place on Lincoln Square on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from noon to 2 p.m. (rain date 1/5/2025). The event will bring together local organizations that make a difference in the community and encourage civic engagement.
Featured groups include Gettysburg Pride, Waldo’s & Company, Pathways to Racial Justice, Manos Unidas, Moms Rising, the Human Relations Commission, Mediation Services of Adams County, Gettysburg Community Theater, a panel of local school board directors, YWCA Hanover, and Gettysburg Rising.
This event is free, family friendly and will feature two keynote speakers, Wendy Allen and John Rudy, who will attest to the power of ordinary citizens throughout Gettysburg’s history and into the present as well as a lively musical interlude.
Latino Fusion Food Truck and Uncle Moe’s Soul Food will be nearby serving up delicious food.
There are approximately $1000 worth of raffle prizes from the Majestic Theater, A&A Village Treasures, T Loft Snacks and Gift Shop, Into the Cottage, Sunrise Soap Company, Gettysburg Community Theater, Because it’s a Lion, Massage Therapist Lisa Davenport, Art by Judy Pyle, Reid’s Winery and Cider House, and Cottage Core Curiosities.
