Adams County 2019 Primary Election Results

Results of the Adams County primary and special elections have now been reported.

Overall 5,031 ballots were cast, 1,573 by Democrats, 3,266 by Republicans, and 192 by Non-partisan voters.

In the special election for state senator, Republican Doug Mastriano has defeated Democrat Sarah E Hammond, 65% to 35%.

In the Democratic race for county commissioner, incumbent Marty Qually has defeated challenger Sara Murphy Laird 54% to 34%.

In the Republican race for county commissioner, incumbents Jim Martin (34%) and Randy Phiel (39%) have defeated challenger David W. Bolton (26%)

In the race for Gettysburg Ward 2 Borough Council member, Matthew Moon has defeated John Rice, with 59% to 39% of the votes.

For the Gettysburg Council Member at Large, Jacob Schindel (60%) has defeated Harry Stokes (39%)
