The Adams County Treasurer’s Office will collect 2024-2025 taxes on behalf of Abbottstown, Arendtsville, and Bendersville boroughs, as was decided at the recent Commissioners’ meeting. The County Office may also be collector for Germany Township.
The procedure change is due to vacancies in the offices of the aforementioned tax jurisdictions.
While expressing gratitude to Adams County Treasurer Crissy Redding and staff, Commissioner Randy Phiel added “This is a benefit to the municipality and a fiscal benefit to the county, as the tax collection fee goes into the general fund.”
